"How Buhari Will Defeat Atiku In 2019" - Lai Mohammed

Nigeria's minister for Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has said that President Muhammadu Buhari will roundly defeat the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar in the 2019 general Elections.
PoliticsNGR learned that the minister made this comment on Monday while briefing newsmen on current developments in the nation. He also reacted to the recent rejection of the Electoral Amendment bill by President Buhari, advising Nigerians to accept the reasons the President gave for his decision.
He further stated that despite the support of Ex-President, Olusegun Obasanjo, Atiku would be 'roundly and comprehensively' defeated. He said;
“With due respect to Obasanjo, it is his fundamental right to support any candidate of his choice and we hereby encourage and urge him to go all out and campaign vigorously for Atiku Abubakar and we wish him the best of luck in his choice and political pursuit. But we assure him that his candidate will be roundly and comprehensively defeated by Buhari.
We want to place it on record that the Buhari government has done the best for this country in virtually all facets of governance and for this reason, we believe strongly that we have enough achievements to flaunt and win the forthcoming election with ease. We have it on record that the opposition is already jittery of Buhari’s imminent victory and has consequently resorted to using fake news to blackmail the president and our party in order to give excuse for the looming defeat."

2019 presidency: Gov. Wike highlights key areas Buhari has failed Nigeria

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has called on Nigerians to vote out the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2019.
Wike said the APC-led Federal Government has failed to use the resources at its disposal to improve the lives of the people.
The governor spoke during the annual harvest of Christian Universal Church, Port Harcourt, the state capital over the weekend.
Represented by his Chief of Staff, Chukwuemeka Woke, the governor said Nigerians must use their votes to commence the revival of the country.
He said, “At the centre, judge them by the promises they made, which they have failed to fulfil. The APC federal government cannot be trusted with another four years.
“They said that they will make one dollar to one naira. Instead, it moved from the 160 Naira they met to close to 500 Naira before coming down to 370 Naira to a dollar.
“They claimed they will reduce the price of a litre of petrol to N42, but, today, it has risen to N145. We have the worst unemployment crisis in the country, as millions have lost their jobs and the infrastructural sector has been abandoned. Nothing is working in the country.
“It is even worse because the failed APC federal government has allowed insecurity to claim the lives of several thousand in the Middle Belt. Several indigenes were killed in Benue, Plateau, Taraba and Nasarawa states by rampaging herdsmen”.

Uproar in Kogi Assembly as Speaker declares Olamaboro lawmaker seat vacant

BY SMART J
LOKOJA – There was uproar in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Tuesday, as the Speaker of the House, Kolawole Matthew declared vacant the seat of member representing Olomaboro constituency, Eneche Linus.
Kogi-Assembly
This is coming against the Court suit instituted by the embattled member to forestall the Assembly embarking on such move.
Moving the motion, Majority Leader of the House, Bello Abdullahi called on the House to declare his seat vacant, saying Linus has decamped from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Abdullahi in his motion stated that based on his own investigation arising from a letter transmitted to the House by Kogi State Chairman of APC, Abdullahi Bello notifying them of the lawmaker’s silent defection to PDP and him later becoming candidate for Kogi state House of Assembly election on the platform of PDP in 2019 general elections.
The majority leader said the lawmaker’s defection contravened Chapter 5, Part 2, Section 109-1 subsection G of the 1999 constitution as amended.
The motion which was seconded by Ahmed Mohammed (Anpka 1, APC,) resulted in heated argument from PDP members in the House who argued that there was no physical evidence to prove his defection by APC and the matter was already in Court.
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Matthew Kolawole overrode the PDP member’s argument, called for voice vote and subsequently passed the motion for the lawmaker’s seat to be declared vacant.
16 out of the 25 members Assembly were present at the sitting.

The secret of my success - Secret to success and How to be Successful in Life

The secret of my success is what I am about to reveal to you today. Success is something that means different things to different people; even identical twins have different meanings to success. I will define success according to my own terms.

Success Definition and meaning

Success refers to the state of attainment of ones goals, dreams, aspirations or desires. When you so much love something, you dream of it, you wish and hope to have it one day and you finally have what you wanted, you can be said to have achieved Success.Having known the definition of success, you can apply this to your life and learn from what I have learnt in life to achieve what I wanted to achieve. I have used these secrets of success to achieve various things I wanted in life and they work always. These secrets I am about to give on how I achieve success for myself may not be applicable to some people but others may find it very helpful. Things are not always the same worldwide and vary according to different tribes, languages, believe, religions, culture and countries; but once you understand some basic secrets to success; you can apply and modify these secrets to help you achieve success in life.

What are my successes?

You might want to be a billionaire, some millionaire, others Professors, and others Senior advocates while others want to be best footballers, best musicians and best producers.
You will agree with me that once you achieve one thing, you will always want to aim higher and so success seems to be not just one thing or it seems to not end. People keep changing their dreams, goals and desires of life the more you have, the higher you want to achieve.
  1. Graduated as best graduating student of 2007 in my secondary school days
  2. Got admitted to study Medicine and surgery in University of Jos, Nigeria
  3. Became a Medical Doctor
  4. Have the best girlfriend I ever wanted
  5. Now using the same principle to become a multimillionaire before the end of 2019 now an Entrepreneur

The secrets of my success

  1. You must first desire to be successful before you can find ways of becoming successful
  2. Success must be deliberately planned
  3. Actions must be taken on daily basis to help you achieve success based on what you planned
  4. There are no straight forward ways to achieving success in life hence you should be dynamic and ready for change
  5. You must try out different things
  6. You must outwork others who want the same limited things of life
  7. You must face challenges most problems were never anticipated
  8. Be versed in knowledge by reading and listening to those who have achieved success before you
  9. Give it time to come true based on your calculations, amount of actual work and circumstances beyond your control

You must first desire to be successful

In order to be successful in life, you must first have that desire to become successful before you can find ways of becoming successful. Some people call this passion, others call it purpose, hunger and others call it urge for success. Whatever you call it, it is only when your heart desires to have something that your brain processes the different possible ways. If you had not desire success, you would never have viewed this article. When you have the desire or the hunger to succeed, that is when you start making ways to achieve your heart desires.
Passion gives you the needed energy to succeed in life; when you do not desire something and you find it accidentally, what I have come to realize is that such people always abuse such things whether it is money, houses or companies anyone who is handed success on a platter of gold would always abuse the system unless such a person desires it but never expected it to be handed to him or her.

Another secret to my success is that success must be deliberately planned

Just as I said above that one must first desire to be successful before the brain starts looking for possible ways of achieving your desires; you must always plan on the possible actions to take before getting what you want. Never think success happens by coincidence or by luck or by mere wishes. Success is a product of deliberate well planned actions taken over a long period of time. When you do not plan, you are most likely not going to achieve your desires. You must plan, seek for possible ways and their alternatives in order to help you achieve what you want to achieve in life.
There certain steps you need towards success. If you are footballer, musician, programmer, basket baller, coach, doctor or engineer you must practice every day in order to be the very best. When you want to pass your exams, you must read repeatedly before exams and not during exams. Repetition is the key to success; without repeating something continuously, your brain may not register it very well into memory and you cannot be skillful in it unless you master it by repetition.

Actions must be taken on daily basis in order to succeed

If you are a student, you must read every day in order to have a first class and beat the records. If you are a footballer, you must play daily either with others or by yourself; if you are programmer, you must code every day. Whatever you want to achieve or whatever your heart desires, you must understand that the faster you start taking daily actions, the faster your goals and dreams come true.
Daily goals may seem boring and may seem not to be making any impact but they do. When you keep taking actions no matter how small they are, they do add up and amount to very powerful tools that will accelerate you towards having success in life.
As a medical student, you must read every day even when tired, you must attend the clinics and many others. These are things you just have to do on daily basis in order to be doctor.
To have graduated as best student in secondary school in 2007 from Boys Secondary School Gindiri (BSS Gindiri), I had to read every day and not just during exams. That was just it. It is the same thing you can apply to every art you want to learn in life, to everything you wish to achieve or have. To be the best athlete, you must practice daily even though it may seem as if nothing is changing because you seem not to notice it until you compare yourself with someone who has not been doing so every day.
Learn to take daily actions that will make you successful not matter how small such actions may be, just keep doing them daily until they add up and become significant.

There are no straight forward ways to achieving success in Life

The mistake some people make is just the thought of thinking success is like a straight road you just follow in order to achieve it. Success is not straight forward; there are unforeseen circumstances that may arise in your quest to become successful and these unforeseen circumstances will force you towards changing your ideas, your goals, you actions and spending rate.
Do not allow pride and arrogance to weigh you down because you are not just ready to change and would prefer to remain adamant to old ideas that are no more effective again.

You must try out different things

There is no one who has the key to the future. No one knows what will become great or not; but one thing every successful man knows is that you must keep trying out different things in order to know what you love most and also to know what is working and what is not. You cannot become successful simply by guess and probability. Trial and error is very important in pointing out what is right for you and also finding your purpose.

You must outwork others who want the same limited things of life

People are in constant competition for limited resources such as having the best medical care, being the in a Job interview and winning the elections. Whatever you must do to succeed, the very one thing you need is out performing others. When you know how to work harder and smarter than others, you must succeed more than they do.
You cannot expect to do the same thing as the rest of the people do but expecting different results; it does work like that in real life. Always work harder, practice much more, try out different things more and so on.

You must face challenges

From the very first day you were conceived, you started facing challenges till the very day you die. Challenges are bound to come in your pursuit of success and for you to be successful; you must be ready to face challenges. The earlier you learn how to overcome these challenges, the faster you have your desires. Some of these challenges may come from government, natural disasters, friends and families and many more.
When you give up on your goals because of challenges or problems that is when you are said to be a failure. But if you really want to succeed in life, you must face challenges and be able to solve them or overcome them. Some of these problems can be anticipated whereas others cannot be known unless they happen and all of them must be solved in order to achieve success in life.

Be versed in knowledge by reading and listening

By reading and listening to those who have become successful in life, you can gain from their knowledge, learn new skills, avoid mistakes and get inspired to become successful in life.
Reading is very important as anyone who relies on his or her thoughts and judgment alone is unlikely to succeed and even when he or she succeeds, it is unlikely such a person can go further or even maintain the success. Reading must not end in class alone but must continue throughout life. This is a vital part of my secret to success.

Uncontrollable secret to success - Allow time to make you successful

This is a vital secret to success that many do not want to accept and has led many to slavery, bondage in prison, and even death because these set of people are desperate and anxious to achieve in a day what wise people achieved in many years. Becoming successful is like nurturing a baby, it does not happen overnight as many think. You must take deliberate actions daily for many days in order to achieve success. Those who cheat or try to outsmart the systems are often punished and some imprisoned, while others are killed by police because they were desperate to make money without doing the legal things necessary to become successful. Just know that success takes time and efforts.
These are the secrets to my success and I have applied these to so many areas of my life and they are helping me achieve almost everything I wanted.

”You Can’t Deceive South East With False Promises”- PDP Tells President Buhari

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has told President Buhari that Nigerians are no longer interested in ‘fake promises and false performance claims’ now that elections are around the corner.
The PDP says the attempt by the Buhari-led government to lure the South-East geo-political zones into supporting his second term fell like a pack of cards as the people have resolved not to follow any leader who can not deliver on his promises.
Recall that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, yesterday told the South East region that the only way to acqualize their dream of occupying the presidency in 2023, is to vote enmass for President Buhari in 2019. Read here.
PDP in its statement signed by its spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan, said APC has become jittery since the South East have expressed their support for the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar. Read part of the statement below
The party said President Buhari and the APC have been jittery since the Southeast and other geo-political zones across board expressed an overwhelming acceptance of the PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, due to his proven competence, respect for equity and all-inclusiveness in governance.
Instead of accepting his failure, which is manifest to all, President Buhari, who is reputed for not fulfilling campaign promises, is busy making a fresh list of fake promises to Nigerians.
In this desperation, Mr. President fails to understand that the people of the South East, just like other Nigerians, are too sophisticated to fall for gimmicks, false promises and ethnic politics, and as such cannot be swayed from their resolve to rally with Atiku Abubakar to rescue our nation from the shackles of misrule.
Nigerians have since seen through President Buhari’s bouquet of failures and fake promises, which in any case, cannot heal the wounds of marginalization, nepotism, inequity, disregard for federal character principle and harsh economic policies, including obnoxious foreign exchange regulations and heavy taxations of his administration, which are killing businesses and plunging families into extreme poverty.
Nigerians, including those in the South East, know that President Buhari does not keep promises. They know that he has not fulfilled any of the promises he made during the 2015 campaign. As such, they cannot fall to the same old trick ahead of the 2019 general election.
Moreover, President Buhari is yet to apologize to the Southeast and other geo-political zones over his administration’s indictment for human rights violations, extra-judicial killings, illegal arrests, arbitrary detention, torture and reported disappearances, as detailed in the reports by the United States Department of State, Amnesty International (AI) and Transparency International (TI).
Instead of clutching on straws and seeking to beguile Nigerians with fake promises, blame game and false performance indices, President Buhari should come to terms with the fact that there is no way Nigerians can change their minds about voting in Atiku Abubakar as his inevitable replacement come February, 2019.
The PDP therefore commends Nigerians across board for their boldness in confronting President Buhari with his failures and their resolve not to be beguiled again in the 2019 elections.
